- Follow the N1 towards Paarl/ Franschhoek and take exit 47, marked Klapmuts / Stellenbosch / Wellington
- Turn right onto the R44 and go across the four way stop.
- Then turn left onto the R45 (Franschhoek). Drive until you reach a T-junction
- Turn right onto the R45 (via Simondium) towards Franschhoek
- Drive into Franschhoek main street, called Huguenot Street. Take the first right into Cabriere Street
- Continue along this street around a bend and over two stop streets
- At the third stop street the road forks. Follow the right fork to the next stop sign
- Turn right, leaving the village
- Continue with this road over a bridge until you get to Mont Rochelle security gate
